According to the U.S. Patent Office, J.C. Newman first rolled Sarzedas cigars in 1900. A century ago, Sarzedas earned a reputation as “The Aromatic Cigar.” Now, 125 years later, J.C. Newman is bringing the brand back — handmade at the company’s PENSA cigar factory in Estelí, Nicaragua.
The modern Sarzedas blend was crafted by Rich Dolak, J.C. Newman’s longtime Vice President of Operations. Each cigar showcases a silky-smooth Ecuadorian Shade wrapper complemented by binder and filler tobaccos from the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua. The result is a flavorful, aromatic profile that honors Sarzedas’ storied legacy while delivering a refined experience for today’s cigar enthusiast.
