Regius was introduced to the U.S. market in 2013 and prior to that was only distributed in the Europe market. The Regius is made in Nicaragua by Nestor Plasencia, who is one of the best producers of cigars in the world. The Regius Small Batch Series Blue Label blend combines a traditional and nuanced flavor with a steady progression with contemporary shapes and sizes in a new bolder flavor profile using a Mexican San Andres Oscuro wrapper with an all Nicaraguan core of aged tobacco's. Made in small batch productions which helps keep the blend and construction extremely consistent and well-made and ultra-boutique. Each Regius Small Batch line is carefully tweaked to add a slightly different enjoyment to the already exceptional Regius cigar line-up.

Another magnificent blend from Regius of London

The sad thing about the Regius of London brand is that it's not on many people's radar. But that could also be a great thing since it means that there's more for those who know the brand AND most of the sticks you can buy online have lots of box aging. This stick is no exception. The operative word for this stick is: SMOOTH; from the smooth, oily wrapper to the Padron-like smooth draw to the silky smooth smoke. It's not very complex and there aren't lots of transitions, but its flavor profile has enough going on that I can just sit back and enjoy it and not spend my entire time smoking in contemplation and analysis. I love cigars like this!
