Plan B Maduro

This is a crazy smoke. It’s the “leftovers” from the premium cigars. It costs me 1/5 the cost per stick of some of my favorites and other than lacking in lingering flavor this is the most ROI oriented stick I’ve seen available. Leonardo on wall street is smoking these along with his cocaine habit and investing the rest of the money he would have spent on a box of “premium sticks.” This is the stick you give your “acquaintances” who don’t quite make the cut for a $20 stick when you’re celebrating and they all nod to each other because they got one of the “good ones.” I’m not taking away from the quality or enjoyment at all. It’s one I’ll smoke regularly. So what is it? Ok. It’s short filler, read that as tobacco that has been cut and is not the length of the cigar like most are. That can affect the quality of the burn but honestly in the couple I’ve smoked I haven’t seen that. Not too worried about it anyway. Taste.. it’s a dry cigar, have a beer or wine or coffee with it. It needs something to wet the whistle so to speak. The flavor is rich earth. Typical dark tobacco taste. It’s hard to describe because there’s a big mix of things happening during to the mix of possible tobaccos you’re getting in there. Think oak cask, earth, some cocoa and a touch of smokiness. Is this the best cigar ever? No. We’ve established what I think is. You’ve established yours likely. This is however the one I’d smoke when I am digging through the change drawer and want to get the most I can after counting all the quarters and dimes. 3 of 5 on the general me scale. 5 of 5 for a value to quality smoke.
