AJ does it again!
Is there nothing that AJF cannot turn to gold? This interpretation of Upmann provides an incredible upgrade to the historically mild flavor of British tobacco. Well constructed with a beautiful aroma, this stick burns evenly and strong throughout the duration of the smoke. Spicy notes at the start that yield to a creamy bold flavor, rich with notes of caramel and coffee. One of my faves!

AJ does it again
I’ve never been a fan of the Upman tobacco’s, often finding them all smoke no flavor, however, when AJ gets his hands on something, he usually turns coal into diamonds. This is another example of AJF doing his finest work. Beautifully constructed, even draw and consistency from toe to heel. Delicious flavor with slight pepper and a bold creamy finish. Excellent all around.

AJ for the Win!
This is a fabulous smoke. The construction is flawless. The draw and burn are perfect. Medium plus body. Lots of pepper and spice off the rip. It calms down through the first 3rd then it smooths out with earthy and nutty tones. I had this in my humidor for 8 months and it was perfect. Slides into my TOP 10.

Mild smoke
On the lighter milder side. Very strong wood flavor with hints of spice on the back end. Not my cup of tea, but to each their own. Very similar to Oliva G.

Delicious
A medium-full experience of woodiness and leathery sensations. The smoke coats your palate in a smooth super enjoyable finish. This is an exquisite luxury relaxation cigar. Will definitely be ordering more.

Perfect wrapper/binder combination.
I’m not normally an Upmann guy, but this came highly recommended from a smoker I trust because he has never steered me wrong. If you like cigars with Mata Fina and Habano wrappers, this cigar is a great combination of the two. The Habano flavor from the binder is very noticeable, but you still get a heavy Mata Fina flavor profile. And what a balanced flavor profile all around…plenty of flavor and still what I’d call smooth. It also keeps the same flavor (more or less) well after band is taken off, which is a mark of well-aged tobacco, something not all that common under $15 or so. The Corona and Toro sizes both seem to taste the same to me, which I was hoping would be the case.
