Cohiba Macassar Cigars Toro Grande 10-Pack
General Cigar Company introduced the Cohiba Macassar at the 2016 IPCPR tradeshow, the brand derives its name from Indonesian Ebony Macassar, a high-end wood that is considered one of the most difficult to procure. The blend was built around the Cohiba Comador blend; a collaboration cigar with Jay-Z which is now discontinued. The blend for the Macassar is a new one, featuring a Seco Connecticut grown Havano Seed wrapper grown in a different region of the Connecticut River Valley then the Comador. The Cohiba Macassar is also comprised of a Connecticut Broadleaf binder and a fillers consisting of proprietary Dominican Mao region and Nicaraguan Jalapa tobaccos. These tobaccos are also aged a minimum of four years, with the last year aged in Dominican rum barrels. The binder Connecticut Broadleaf binder however goes through a longer aging process of six years.
