Blackened M81 by Drew Estate Corona (5x43)

The 95-rated BLACKENED Cigars M81 by Drew Estate is what happens when passion, craftsmanship, and raw intensity collide. This all-star collaboration unites Jonathan Drew of Drew Estate, Metallica’s James Hetfield, and BLACKENED Whiskey’s master distiller Rob Dietrich—three aficionados driven by a shared love of bold flavor and unapologetic character.

Built “Maduro to the Core,” M81 is a deep dive into the darkest, richest expressions of the Maduro leaf. It starts with a thick, oily Mexican San Andrés wrapper, layered over a hearty Connecticut Broadleaf Maduro binder and a powerhouse blend of Nicaraguan and Pennsylvania Broadleaf fillers—including some of the strongest ligero in Drew Estate’s arsenal.

The result? A full-throttle smoking experience that’s dark, dense, and unapologetically bold. Expect waves of espresso, leather, and dark chocolate, backed by a richness that lingers long after the final draw.

If you crave intensity and complexity with a rebellious edge, M81 doesn’t just deliver—it turns the volume all the way up.

This a great cigar. I agree with the CA rating of mid 90's. Strong and will not disappoint

It's actually a difficult period to achieve richness and balance in a 43 ring gauge, and this one cigar did it! I 1 bought two boxes! Shared them with my good friends and not one was disappointed!
