Black Label Trading Co. Limited Edition Super Deluxe Cigars
Founded by James Brown in 2013, Black Label Trading Company came to fruition after a love of tobacco, Central America and its culture sent him on a journey to create his perfect cigar. Brown’s mindset was to keep his blends exciting but his portfolio small. Within each line only a few sizes are made. His mentality is that you do not need more then 3 vitolas everything else is a waste of resources. This boutique company has made waves in the industry over the years.

Black Label Trading Co. has released a new extremely limited edition box-pressed line, called the Super Deluxe. The cigar uses a Mexican San Andrés wrapper over an Ecuadorian habano binder and fillers from Nicaragua. A bold blend, the combination of Nicaraguan fillers and Mexican wrapper work together to create a rich, dark, earthy profile, with subtle spice and layers of complex flavors.

BLTC Super Deluxe

This was just an all-around great, well-balanced cigar. Started off with some nice cedar and cocoa, then settled into a really smooth, creamy middle with just a touch of leather and not much spice. The final third is where it kicked up a bit—definitely more pepper on the finish, which I liked, with that dry cocoa note still hanging in there. Burn and draw were spot on, no issues at all, and plenty of smoke. I had it with bourbon and it worked, but honestly I think a rye would’ve been even better. This is one I’d definitely grab again—easy, relaxing smoke, especially in the evening.
