Black Label Trading Company is back at it again with another limited edition that’ll knock your socks off. Literally. Brand creator James Brown said the blend is “extremely bold with spice throughout the palate and nose.” A few of us tried some ahead of the release and can confirm that this story checks out. The blend is comprised of an all-Nicaraguan core that lies beneath an Ecuadorian Habano binder. To finish it, Orthodox adds a Mexican San Andres maduro wrapper. Although the blend is very full-bodied, the intensity is balanced by notes of cherries, raisins, and star anise.
