Pete Johnson doesn't often use Mexican San Andres tobacco in his cigar blends. The first time was the ultra-limited Monsters series, then once again in 2011 with the limited regional line, called the Mexican Experiment. Only about 500 bundles were made in two different sizes that shipped to only a few retailers in Florida and New England. Many say this blend was one of the best limited-releases from Pete Johnson. Now, the Tatuaje Mexican Experiment has returned, the "Limited" which is the original blend and the Tatuaje Mexican Experiment II, which is a slightly tweaked blend using the same tobaccos as the original, but will be a regular production cigar, of course with limited production quantity.

The Tatuaje Mexican Experiment or “ME,” as it’s also known as, is comprised of a Mexican San Andres wrapper over Nicaraguan binders and fillers. This cigar is a powerhouse and a perfect expression of Mexican tobacco flavors. The blend delivers rich flavors of earth, chocolate, followed by pepper, wood, & coffee notes. Made at My Father Cigar factory in Nicaragua, the cigar is extremely complexed, with a long rich finish.
