Sobremesa Solita Red (6 1/4x46)

New for 2025, Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust has “resurrected” one of its classics. Sobremesa Solita Red is a reimagining of the original Sobremesa Cervantes Fino, which was released in 2015. The Cervantes Fino was discontinued in 2023, but brand owner Steve Saka said the size always “…had a very special place in my heart” so he returned to the drawing board and tinkered with the blend.

While not a limited edition, Sobremesa Solita Red will be produced in small batches at the Joya de Nicaragua factory. The blend is comprised of a core of tobacco from Nicaragua and Pennsylvania that is nestled beneath a Mexican San Andres Negro binder. The cigar is then finished with an Ecuadorian habano wrapper. Described as medium to full-bodied, Saka describes the profile as, “…nuances of Dutch-pressed cocoa, Indian Ceylon cinnamon, and anise with a sweet clover honey finish.”
