Rocky Patel Decade

Cigar makers love celebrating anniversaries, and that couldn't be more true than with Rocky Patel. Lucky for us, he made it over decade in the business (of course, with the help of his dedicated fans), and to celebrate his success and reward his fans, he created one of his best cigars ever.

The Rocky Patel Decade became an "instant classic" upon its release due to the use of some prime aged tobaccos. Rocky has kept the blends binder and fillers secret, but we do know that a 10-year-old dark Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper was used on these beautiful and delicious cigars. Cigar Aficionado was so impressed with this cigar that they awarded it a 95 and awarded it a spot on their Top 25 Cigars of 2008 list.

When you light one of these lovely cigars up, you'll be rewarded with elegant medium to full-bodied smoke and toasty flavors of cherry, earth and a creamy texture.

Rocky Patel Decade Toro Tubo
Written by Chris Hallmark on Nov 6th 2025

I don’t smoke many RP cigars - except for this one and some Year of The Snake sticks. I tried this Decade Toro Tubo version last year and immediately was impressed! Better than the box press in my opinion. I am not good at describing tasting notes, but I’ve smoked cigars for 40 years. This has what I would call a sweet, earthy flavor with other nuances as the smoke progresses. I can tell the tobacco is well aged. The construction is excellent with good burn and solid ash. Flavor and strength are medium-full to me. And you can get these for a great price if you look around. I’ve found the best prices for singles here at Atlantic Cigar. I keep 25-20 in my Needone humidor at all times.
