Overview
Drew Estate isn't known for making conventional cigars. All of their cigars demonstrate Jonathan Drew's determination to break the mold when it comes to producing cigars. Enter: My Uzi Weighs a Ton's Kentucky Fire Cured.

This project was born when Drew and Steve Saka put a Kentucky fire-cured leaf on top of a Liga Privada cigar and instantly saw the potential of the unique leaf. Fire-cured tobacco is produced by burning a variety of woods, hickory, oak and maple in the case of the KFC, inside the tobacco curing barns for several days or weeks to cure the tobacco and to infuse the leaves with smoky and peaty flavors. It took Drew Estate a lot of trial and error over the course of 2 and 1/2 years to finalize the blend and perfect the use of fire-cured tobacco in a premium cigar, but in the end they came through with one killer smoke!

The KFC is produced under Drew Estate and Joya de Nicaragua's joint venture, My Uzi Weighs a Ton, and handmade at the Joya de Nicaragua factory in Nicaragua. The blend contains both Kentucky and Virginia fire-cured tobaccos, and a special leaf from an undisclosed country, where according to Drew Estate, "they don't speak English, Italian or Spanish."

Drew Estate certainly broke the mold with this cigar. The KFC is medium to full-bodied and packed with smoky, sweet, peaty and barbecue-like flavors. You don't want to miss out on these groundbreaking stogies!
