La Aurora 1962 Corojo Gran Toro review
Professional reviewers say “La Aurora is oldest factory in the Dominican Republic, but despite their age, they continue to produce new, unique blends that cater to the industry's constantly evolving palates. La Aurora Corojo, is just one of many examples. An oily, well-fermented Ecuadorian Corojo wrapper hugs a rich blend of Dominican and Nicaraguan long-fillers, producing a medium-bodied profile that's layered with notes of earth, spices, cedar, and a hint of raisin on the finish. As the cigar progresses, the spice builds and the body follows suit leading to an exciting, medium to full-bodied finale.” For me, there is some funk to this stick, reminiscent of a San Andreas leaf which is not necessarily bad. Nothing wrong with it but nothing really lighting up my taste buds either or hooking me in. It is a BIG stick and can take some heat which suits my style and the way I like to go about it. A good yard-gar… one that you do not have think to hard about while offering a common “cigar” experience. Very well constructed.
