ISLAND JIM SAN ANDRES CIGARS by Oscar
With the Success of the Leaf by Oscar line, Oscar and Jim have created a new blend, under the name “Island Jim,” for Jim Robinson, a retailer out of Pittsburgh who has partnered with Oscar Valladares in his Danli, Honduras factory.
Since that cigar was such a hit he came out with the Island Jim San Andres. This cigar is currently made only in one size and called the #2 as this cigar was constructed to look like a #2 pencil. The Island Jim San Andres is a medium-full bodied smoke, with good solid tobacco flavors, the blend focuses more on the flavor profile of the tobaccos and less on the strength.
The first time I had an Island Jim I was blown away. Full bodied chocolately cigar with no pepper either on the palate or retrohale. So I thought I'd buy 10...well, I have adjusted my thoughts. Although the flacour was still amazing, the cigars were so tightly rolled as to make them unsmokeable. I had to use a draw tool several times to get any draw at all. Too bad too, case I love the flavour, Aroma and look of this cigar.
