In 2021, Eladio Díaz left Davidoff after 35 years at Tabadom Holding, Inc., where he played a key role in both overseeing cigar production and creating blends. Soon after, he and his family, including his wife Griselda, opened a cigar factory in Santiago de los Caballeros, Dominican Republic. While initially focusing on private labels, Díaz shifted focus last year with the release of the Eladio Díaz 70 to celebrate his 70th birthday.

This year, he launched his first regular production line, Eladio Díaz Before & After, featuring an Ecuadorian corojo wrapper, Dominican habano 2000 binder, and tobaccos like piloto cubano and broadleaf. The cigars are rolled at his factory, Tabacalera Díaz Cabrera, in the Dominican Republic.
