Deadwood Dominicana By Drew Estate Toro (6x50)
The newest outlaw in Drew Estate’s infamous Deadwood line is here!
Drew Estate’s Deadwood series has exploded into a full-on sensation. Handcrafted in Nicaragua, this cigar is a sultry fusion of exotic, aromatic tobaccos that delivers a dangerously smooth ride from start to finish. Dominicana though, represents the lighter side of the Deadwood portfolio. Armed with tobaccos from the Dominican Republic and finished with a Connecticut-shade wrapper leaf, expect a mellower Deadwood that hits your palate with notes of cedar, earth, and hints of vanilla sweetness on the finish.
Very mild sweet cigar! Nice cigar to smoke anytime, but especially good for the 2nd cigar of the day.
Very mild, sweet cigar. Milder than the original Deadwood toro cigar. I many times smoke this as the second cigar of the day.
Drew Estate Dominicana – Cigar Review Response Right out of the gate, the construction is tight, no soft spots. Cold draw gives off earthy sweetness with a bit of cedar. Once lit, the first third kicks in with a bold, peppery blast—typical of Drew Estate’s more assertive blends—but quickly mellows into a creamy coffee and leather combo. Retrohale has a surprising touch of cinnamon and citrus. By the second third, things smooth out. The pepper fades and you get more cocoa, toasted oak, and a graham cracker sweetness that creeps in. Smoke output is classic Drew: dense and oily. Burn line stays mostly straight with minor corrections. Final third brings the strength. Black coffee, charred wood, and a touch of spice return, layered over a dark molasses base. It doesn’t go harsh, but it doesn’t hold your hand either. Definitely full-bodied by the end. Verdict: This stick isn’t for beginners. It’s complex, evolving, and packs some strength. If you’re into rich, full-flavored cigars with character, the Drew Estate Dominicana hits the mark. Not a daily smoke—but when you’ve got time to sit with it, it rewards you.
When you want to retreat from bold smokes, this fits the bill. A mild enjoyable smoke, good construction and burn. Deadwood does it again and the wife may like it too.
