Found a nice alternative to my go to Leaf By Oscar's. Charter Oak Connecticut. Great quality and tasty smoke. Burns nicely, bit of a complex spice and mellow taste. Price point is great!

Great cigar for the money. Great in the flavor and aroma departments also. I gotta say... if you enjoy Connecticut sticks as much as I do... 'This one's for the Keeper' if you get my drift here. I'd say get a box and you will not be disappointed one bit. There IS a pepperiness that runs most of the length but it's tolerable otherwise I would not say so. But it smooths out in the last 1/4. THAT is where ALL the magnificent array of complex FLAVORS and AROMA reside. I always have smoked my sticks ALL the way down the the point to where the glowing red hot tobaccos show up at the inhale tip. IF you enjoy a fine cigar as much as I do you will get you a nice pair of hemostats, pinch it at about 1/4 inch from the tip and savor that thing all the way down.
Smooth but somewhat complex, straight burn, solid ash, easy draw. If you want a nice, 45 minute smoke, that works well with rum ( and Rhum), give this stick a try
I'm just starting out smoking and tasting cigars and sometimes I just want a cigar that is mild smooth and something to smoke anytime. I found it with the Charter Oak! It's super affordable so I can always keep some for when I just want a smooth smoke. The burn was great didn't need relighting or touch ups and was so easy to enjoy. Super mild but still flavorful enough to enjoy. I think I found my affordable stick to keep all the time.
