Byron 1850 No. 2 (7x56)
I implore you to give this one the ol’ hairy eyeball because this cigar isn’t for everyone. One look at the price tag will have many of you heading for the hills. Fair enough. But if you’re still with me, I’ll let you in on a little secret: these uber-pricey premiums are a must-try. Let’s break Byron 1850 down…
Byron 1850 is comprised of Dominican and Nicaragua tobacco that is encased inside a Peruvian binder and finished with an Ecuadorian wrapper. But what sets this one apart is the aging process. Each cigar is aged five years post-rolling. From there, the cigars are aged for a time in five separate cedar-lined rooms. Each room is lined with a different type of cedar (Cuban, Spanish, Brazilian, Mexican, and Lebanese). According to the manufacturer, the cigars are “forced to breath in the cedar notes by lowering and raising the humidity to allow the cigar to cleanse itself.” Easily one of the most unique blends on the market, you’re definitely going to want to try a Byron 1850 at least once.
