Owners Eduardo and Max Fernández, the father-and-son team behind Aganorsa Leaf, have debut a new cigar that contains a small amount of medio tiempo, a rare tobacco leaf prized by growers for its rich flavor. The Aganorsa Leaf Signature Selection is an all Nicaraguan blend comprised of a rosado-claro Corojo ’99 wrapper that covers the Corojo ’99 binder and a mixture of rich fillers of Criollo ’98 and Corojo ’99 tobaccos. The filler also boasts a half leaf of rare medio tiempo, which are small tobacco leaves that occasionally sprout atop some (but not all) tobacco plants making this tobacco ultra-rare. But the Fernandez Nicaraguan tobacco-growing conglomerate is one of the largest, which most of their farms are located in Nicaragua’s best growing regions, which allowed them to select their very best tobaccos for this limited production cigar.
