Alec & Bradley Kintsugi Cigars

Cigar Aficionado's 2021 "Cigar of the Year" No. 25 - 92-Rating

Introducing the 3rd release from Alec & Bradley, the Alec & Bradley Kintsugi.  The Alec & Bradley Kintsugi is an elegant, multifaceted medium bodied cigar created by second generation cigar makers Alec and Bradley Rubin. Alec & Bradley Kintsugi pays homage to the ancient Japanese art-form of joining together ceramics with gold lacquer-making them even more beautiful. Cigars, like the gold lacquer, are a bonding agent- bringing people from all walks of life together. Kintsugi uses a habano wrapper from the Trojes region of Honduras, binders from Honduras and Nicaragua, and fillers from Honduras and Nicaragua. It is produced at the Raíces Cubanas factory in Honduras. The Alec & Bradley Kintsugi takes on a medium body, boasting atypical flavors not readily found in parent company, Alec Bradley's, portfolio. The cigars are rich with array of interesting flavors, notes of citrus, sourdough, nutmeg and floral honey sweetness are present.

Decent blend
Written by Aaron H on Feb 1st 2021

Starts off with a gentle kick of spice and mellows down a bit in the first half of the stick. The smoke wasn't harsh but I thought it could have been a bit smoother. The flavor was the typical earthy, leather, charred. The flavor was rather generic, nothing special to write home about. The construction was perfect though and the ash burned very evenly, holding on to about 2" in length before falling off of the cigar. A solid choice for beginner/easy smokers. Connoisseurs might want to pass on this one.
